Obama had his shot and blew it. He should LOSE by a landslide.
President Obama’s approval ratings finally began to fall well below 50% this week. My only question is: What took so long?
Any American voter that believes that President Obama has earned another four years to serve as the leader of our nation is either:
-
Completely out of touch with reality
-
A die-hard progressive who would rather see our great nation fall further into economic decay and further away from our constitution than ever vote for anyone who’s not a Democrat.
President Obama has failed our nation at almost every turn and it’s time to give someone else a turn at the helm. Obama is NOT the best we can do. Not by a long shot.
Obama has made bad decisions, bad appointments and damaged our economy and our foreign relations with our allies:
-
Obamacare: Budget estimates are up $111 Billion for a three-year period. “Last year’s budget estimated the cost of the aid to be $367 billion from 2011-2014 This year’s budget puts it at $478 billion over the same time period.” See http://www.obamafailblog.net/2012/03/obamacare-costs-up-111-billion-dollars.html As more and more of the Obamacare plan is unveiled, Americans are witnessing just how unconstitutional this gargantuan piece of legislation truly is. Our personal health, our medical records, will never be our private business ever again.
-
Failed Energy Policy: If it comes from the ground (most especially US soil, ie. coal, oil and natural gas—Gut it. If it’s associated with the GREEN industry, ie. wind, solar, bio-fuel—keep throwing good taxpayer money after bad through stimulus funds, subsidies and tax credits. Rising gas prices—so what? We don’t need nasty fossil fuels. We don’t need no stinking Keystone Pipeline, we need to punish Americans who can’t afford $40,000 electric vehicles and solar panels on their homes. If you can’t be Green—Stay Home and freeze in your cold house (that is IF you have a job and can afford your mortgage).
-
Foreign Policy: Is there one? Obama has given our allies no reason to trust the US anymore. Does Israel really believe we have their back? Afghanistan is an abject failure. Bush made a lot of bad decisions in the Middle East, Obama has compounded them. Afghanistan has cost us over $1 Trillion and countess lives and ten years later, the terrorists are once again gaining control and the Afghan government wants us gone. Then there’s Libya, upon which Obama ordered airstrikes without congressional approval…a defense secretary who says we will yield to the UN regarding action against Syria. The list goes on.
-
Economy: Obama has spent/borrowed more during three years in office than all of his presidential predecessors combined. If the Obama Administration would just STAY OUT of the housing market, the auto industry and let the free market do its thing, a recovery could actually take place. (We the taxpayers still own the majority of GM stock. I would feel a bit better about that if Obama would mail me a stock certificate with my share of shares). Obama is not addressing entitlements which are the biggest drain on our budget and WILL destroy our economy in a few decades time if left unchecked.
-
Agenda Trumps All: Everything the Obama administration decides is viewed through a progressive lens leading to more government control of our lives, our industries, our health, our food, our schools, and to achieve a liberal utopia where the Elites rule and the masses bow on bended knee thanking big government for the crumbs off the table. That’s not my America in which I want to raise my child.
Do I believe the next President can right every wrong? No. But I do believe that if the current President is given another four years, the United States of America and our status as “the richest, most free nation on Earth” will be a distant memory.
I have barely brushed the surface of wrongs President Obama has either not fixed or has created during his tenure as Commander-in-Chief. He has not earned more time because The United States is almost out of time.

It’s time to elect a new leader for America in November. Are you on board?

It would be very difficult if not impossible for our nation to recover from a second Obama term.
Bob A.
It’s going to be hard enough to recover from this term.
Thanks for the re-blog.
If he loses ….. look for weekly EO’s to release Fridays at PM.
I am truely scared for what could happen.
I forsee a nightmare on many levels.
The mushy middle in five swing states hold America’s future in their hands. Team Obama knows this and will go after those states with a vengeance. I hope the GOP is up to the task.
I don’t see how the libs in South Florida can possibly overtake the anti-Obama mood of the rest of the sunshine state. Unemployment and the housing market are some of the worst in the nation. Add to that the end of the space shuttle program and the gutting of NASA, there is no way Obama can take Florida. And I think Virginians learned their lesson, as well.

It’s going to be very difficult to recover from the damage done during the FIRST Obama term. A second term for Obama will result in the end of the Second Amendment and the end of America.

It’s time to stop being shy about the damage this administration has done…and plans to do (not that many of us bloggers are but many in the MSM still pretend that this election is just like any other–not so).
Thanks for the re-blog!

That is not far from the truth. Look no further than the NDAA to find your proof. I only wish we’d put Ron Paul in the White House in 2008. We would be on the way to recovery, and a good number of our troops that have been killed and/or injured since Obama took office, would probably be just fine right now. Ditto for the civilians that have been killed due to our interference and policing of other Nations. Israel has already claimed they can fend for themselves. Too, the light would be blaring on the Federal Reserve’s antics, and I seriously doubt the bailouts would have gotten off the ground. There would be no TSA, the Patriot Act would have been repealed, and we’d be lacking 40 czars … and on, and on. What gets me, is that we have one more chance to claim Ron Paul as our President. I hope America has enough common sense to realize, if we indeed want real change from the direction we’re heading in, Ron Paul is the only man that is offering to guide us back to our Freedom. Of course, if the elections were honest, it would help considerably. Our Government is corrupt from A to Z. We many need to blow the dust off of our Declaration of Independence, and abide by its guidelines, to regain control of the damage that has already be done to our Nation. Obama shouldn’t even be allowed on any ticket to run as POTUS, until he proves he qualifies to run, which I doubt he can. That in itself, is further proof he has no respect for our Constitution … the one he swears to honor and uphold.
Wow, Orples when you put it in context of “what might have been” the American people are bigger fools than I thought.
Sorry, I tend to go on a roll when I can so clearly see the answers to our problems right in front of our faces and nobody listens. I do think that the elections are rigged, too, which doesn’t help. Check this out, if you’ve not heard it already. These were just two of Ron Paul’s floor speeches warning us first not to allow the Government to regulate, and/or finance the housing market, and also not to invade Iraq. We would not be swimming in debt right now had we listened then … which is why I get so passionate about putting the RIGHT man into office …
Take note that this is from his 2008 Campaign.
The thought of another term in office for President Obama is terrifying; the reality is likely to be worse. Even a Republican controlled Congress might not stop him. He presently ignores the Congress however and whenever he can and we can reasonably expect him to continue and expand his use of that tactic. It will become increasingly easy because the various federal agencies have excessive and increasing power to make such regulatory “laws” as they may wish through a bloated regulatory process; they are answerable principally to the President. To the extent that they do as he desires, they diminish the legislative function of the Congress and transfer more legislative power to the Executive.
Back in January, I wrote an article entitled Might President Obama morph into an el Presidente Chávez? That strikes me as a very real possibility. Much of the harm that el Presidente Chávez has done has been with the acquiescence and even help of his legislative and judicial branches.
Chávez began his reign slowly and, as he aggregated power, accelerated his successful quest for more. Today, it is essentially unlimited. President Obama, during his first two years, had a totally compliant Congress and he moved very quickly. He then had to slow down a bit after 2010 when he lost control over the House. Might he no longer have to face that problem if reelected — even regardless of which party controls the Congress?
El Presidente Chávez is a very charismatic demagogue. El Presidente Obama, given another four years, could hone his skills to rival or even best those of el Presidente Chávez.
You’re so right about congress. They sit back and wring their hands & whine about executive power overrearch but do little to try and stop it. I am also upset that the Supremes are not doing their job of balancing the powers. When did the Supreme Court become nothing more but a hollow chamber that is only allowed to hear one case at a time, remaining deaf, dumb and blind to unconstitutional actions by the other branches of government?

Thank you, gds44. I’m so glad you found my little blog!
Good post! Just don’t get too excited by corporate news media polls. We cannot and should trust them.
What gives me hope is the poll we had in November 2010. We can win, but we must fight tooth and nail and remember the battle never ends. In particular, we must fight for good candidates. Otherwise, the establishment will force us to run phony Conservatives like Mitt Romney.
You’re right about the polls. The outcomes are partially determined by how the questions are phrased. It’s in the best interest of the media to keep them jumping around. If Romney is the candidate, I believe he will do much to turn things around. He’s not the most conservative candidatae, but he, at least, has the business know-how to get our economic and energy policies on track again.I must admit I am much more comfortable with a Romney candidate than I ever was with McCain.
Hard to argue with that, Freedom. I can live (I hope) with Romney or any of the others, including Paul at this point.
The executive order Friday night I find very troubling also. It’s time and I don’t care if your Conservative, Republican, Independent, or even Democrat, this is no longer the America we grew up in and love, it time to take it back, or as my phrase goes “the Counterrevolution”, for that what the progressives have brought us, a second American revolution.
When (or if, at this point) we get Washington back under control, at least the two branches we control for now, we can fix everything else over time. It’s not going to be easy or fun but it’s necessary and that will have to be enough.
It’s a start. But we have a long road ahead of us.
Yep, we do.
Considering the abysmal ignorance of the average American compounded by the astounding negligence of the modern national media, another 4 years of unconstitutional diktat is entirely possible. After which, of course, we’ll have no more freedoms left to protect.
Don’t throw in the towel, yet, Bob.

My, aren’t we droll today.
