One Small Voice. A Lot of Big Ideas. Let Freedom Ring!

To Elect Romney & Promote Freedom, We Must Click Out of Our Comfort Zone.

This post was inspired by prolific blogger, Nebraska Energy Observer’s post Conservatives Fail Online. Please read/Share. And please do read it and share it.

It’s time to stop talking to ourselves.

You know who you are.

You are a strong voice for freedom, the constitution and conservative or libertarian ideals. You believe the best government is a small, unobtrusive government that leaves Americans alone to live our lives, raise our children and pursue our own ideas of personal and professional success.

Yet, you spend too much of your online time in a safe zone, surrounded by “friends”, bloggers, tweeters and writers who think like you. There is nothing wrong with affirmation. We need to encourage one another—continually.

But if we are to broadcast our message of small government, personal liberty, personal responsibility, we have to click out of our comfort zone.

If as bloggers and tweeters, we want to help thwart the megaphone of the mainstream media that has become a crucial tool in the re-elect Obama tool kit, we have to go to more mainstream and liberal outlets and be heard.

Your Challenge: Go visit sites you normally shy away from. Comment on articles and blogs with which you disagree. Don’t be a troll. Be the voice of reason that you are. And keep doing so through Election Day.

Don’t worry about getting beat up. America will take a much harder beating if Obama is re-elected. We can all handle a few bruises in an effort to elect Mitt Romney.  ( As I wrote about in an earlier post, I’ve been commeting on Huffington Post. I have O friends–a stat which pops up next to my avatar with every comment!)

Don’t know where to start? Here are a few:

Now GO and be prolific!

GO!

Take a deep breath and just do it!
I just posted a comment on huffpuff about 15 minutes ago and my e-mail filled up with 99% refutes or insulting replies–but ONE, count ‘em 1–came back affirmative, welcoming me to “twilight zone”. So now there are two voices of reason in that vast wasteland.

It would also help if people showed up to vote, as well. A lot of people who should know better seem much too apathetic, and too comfortable being entertained and fed to actually even care who wins the election.

Isn’t it disgraceful? It makes me whant to shake them! (So sorry for the delayed comment display and reply. For some reason you were in my spam folder).

shoot, I don’t have to go that far into the intertubz fer a fight. I’m having plenty on the FB LOL. But good for you, Freedom. I believe that all our efforts help. Even if you don’t convince anyone, still you are taking up their time and energy, and popping many well insulated leftist bubbles. As I like to say, everytime a leftist is annoyed, an angel gets its wings . . .

Not quite sure I’d go quite THAT far, Linda (earning wings) but it can be a fun sport. I don’t FB but glad you’re finding fertile ground there.

Their scant personal relationship is in many ways the result of potential pathways to the presidency that had little to do with Washington. Obama spent just two years in the Senate before launching his 2008 White House bid. Romney spent most of his career in the private sector and has never worked in the nation’s capital.
