One Small Voice. A Lot of Big Ideas. Let Freedom Ring!

America Voted To Kill The American Dream.

Enjoy your ” free”, taxpayer-funded phones. Enjoy your “free” , taxpayer-funded healthcare. Enjoy your feeing of charitable superiority. All these too, shall pass.

No one in America will be feeling very charitable very soon.

To quote fellow Patriot, Voting American, “For the First Time I am Ashamed of My Country”.

As if today weren’t bad enough I came in the backdoor to my blog and saw that WP had posted a menopause ad on this post.  My apologies.

I appreciate your encouragement but no one should “Like” this post. I certainly do not.
My sense of humor and positive outlook are on hiatus at the moment.

How and Why we came to this point in our history as a country only God knows for certain…..I do know that He is still in control. I also know that the vision of of American that our big government friends believe in is not the vision of our founding fathers…..and is not a vision of freedom, a spirit of hard work, Godly values and responsibility. May God bless this once great country, and save us from His wrath to come!

Without God’s blessing we are finished.

Indeed so . . . and if we do not even blush at the murder of nearly a million babies a year, legalizing homosexual marriage, passing physician assisted suicide laws, why should He give us His blessings no matter how hard we pray. He may answer us individually and bless us: but as a nation, we have lost our moral compass. We are adrift and we best get a Captain on board that can navigate by the stars.

The Dream is dead. Long live the Dream!

The dream to live free and prosper will live on within us. The struggle will be long and hard and the fault for that is ours. God blessed us and we ignored his blessing. It may take a few more years of serious suffering; but I pray the next generation will wake up one day and take up the that those my age must soon pass on. Until that day comes, we elders must fight on.

And it is up to we parents of children still at home to educate our children and undo the damage that is perpetrated on them every day at school and in the media.

It may take a few more blows to the head of the giant to wake it up.
When the food stamps are cut in half, and the welfare fund is drained, half of the country will pay attention and demand more water from a dry well.
They will ask,…why is it dry ?

I anticipate a quiet (or not so quiet) revolt in the New Year when everyone who does get a paycheck finds their take home pay is less. Doesn’t matter whether the lame duck congress re-ups the tax cuts. Obamacare kicks in. I just took some preventative measures today by changing my phone plan, cutting some of my directv services…whatever it takes.

God is watching over us. Let’s trust his will as hard as that may be at a time like this.

I believe God is watching over us and I believe he is horrified.
All kidding aside, this is one of those God’s will vs Free Will areas. But, then again, God knows what we’re all going to do before we even do it.

And there it is, Freedom, the schools. there are many bright young conservatives, we’ve all seen the videos, but the average high school or college graduate is a half-educated, mostly indoctrinated drone who has no more idea of how to earn a living than of how to hold his breath for an hour. We have many problems, proper education will solve all, or at least most, of them in time.

As SF says, the churches have their problems as well, I’m not a huge fan of basing your faith on nothing but the Bible (and I know he isn’t either) but spotty and insufficient education is better than wilfully wrong education.

Well put, Nebraska. But remember, Obama thinks “more teachers” are the answer! The problem is, I don’t think I share his view of what a good teacher really is.

It’s certainly not a dues paying, indoctrinating drone, like so many are these days, and I think that’s what we’d get, I think we’re going to have to roll up our sleeves and, as a famous Nebraskan puts it “Git-R-Done” or it’s not going to happen.

As long as we’re around, the American Dream will stay alive. It’s not dead, it’s only bruised and battered. So many convervatives sound like they’re giving up and this is the last time there should be such talk. Now is the time to fight, fight, fight for America by being true to our values, preparing for future elections, and being the restraining barrier that holds these forces back. Stand firm. Our forefathers did. So must we.

I agree. But I think we need a day or two to lick our wounds. The difference with this election is that constitutional principals didn’t just lose to the progressive movement. This election proved that America has lost her way altogether.

There is it — in a nutshell!

That is why so many of us are discouraged. We realize the battle is not just with progressives. It’s with the mindless sheep who don’t know a progressive from a conservative, they just run with the crowd and vote on “feelings”.

I think O’Reilly summed it up pretty well. People want to keep their stuff. Democrats ran on spreading fear that Romney would take their free stuff, and they didn’t want to lose it. The takers are outnumbering the makers in this country. At some point, there will be no more makers….then what? Anarchy.

Love your blog so much. I still haven’t recovered from this dismal, disheartening, sad election. In fact, my hubby and I are so ticked off that we started a blog (“Ticked Off and Hitting the Road”) about how we’re soon “checking out”, taking to the road, and trying to pay as few taxes as possible over the next four years (if for no other reason than to feel better and stage our own tiny rebellion). Yes, America has lost her way. Bottom line: when nearly 50% of the country does not pay into the system and yet expects the other 50% to work themselves into a shameful lather to support everything, it is reprehensible and unsustainable. When the same people (who don’t contribute in a measurable way) hire a President based on emotion and that President understands nothing about economics, let alone leadership, and has in fact spent the last four years showing us what he’s made of, we’re lost. I say: let it all burn. Let it all fall down around the heads of those too short-sighted to understand their actions and then this country will rise from the ashes. Or not. It’s too soon to predict.

Thank you for your thoughtful comments. I do envy you the freedom to chuck the daily grind. Unfortunately, I am not in that position. I look forward to reading about your adventures on the road. I know there are enough freedom lovers still left in this great nation to get it back on track…but it’s going to be a hard road and it’s easy to become dismayed when life sucks so much out of you. (I do think that’s part of the plan. Just keep hitting us from every direction that we don’t know what to defend first. The upshot is that many just give up and give in). Glad to know you’re not part of that crowd!
      Merry Christmas!
